About Us
Richey graduated from Auburn University in 2009, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Wildlife Sciences. Upon graduation, he moved to Washington County, GA to open Tarver Grove Plantation, a commercial hunting preserve. Offering deer, dove, turkey and quail hunts, Tarver Grove was in operation until 2018.
While running Tarver Grove Plantation, Richey began working for a handful of landowners, developing and implementing wildlife management programs. His primary focus was working with landowners that wished to improve their whitetail herds. By 2015, Richey was actively managing 8 properties with over 200 acres of food plots, 180 acres of dove fields, and thousands of acres to be burned each year. Doing the vast majority of the work, Richey feels this was an important learning period that helped him unite the science of wildlife management with practical application.
